I'm originally from Corpus Christi which is near the ocean in Texas, about 2 hours from the Rio Grande.

My first interest is definitely computers and technology, but I also like to snowboard, mountain bike, ice skate, and play baseball and soccer. I enjoy horseback riding, though I've been told that I could use a little practice. I also love cars and anything else mechanical. I've been swimming since before I could speak and I love finding time to go to the gym. I also enjoy philosophy, psychology, neurology, religious discussion, and wine tasting.

I moved to Charlotte, NC in the Summer of '99 and took a year to gather funds and determine where I'd like to go to college. I decided to spend two years at Appalachian State University in Boone and then return to Charlotte to continue my education at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

In December of 2003, I was offered a co-op position with Cisco Systems in Raleigh, Research Triangle Park. I completed two co-op rotations and then returned to school to graduate in May '05 with a bachelor's degree in Computer Science.

During my last co-op rotation, I was offered a full-time position as an engineer at Cisco. So, after graduation, I returned to RTP, NC to begin my job.

I now work as an engineer on the Cisco TAC Security team. I field cases that deal with Cisco's security products such as IDS/IPS, IDSM, IOS IPS, AAA, CSA, VMS, CSM, MARS, ASA, PIX, FWSM, CSC, IOS FW, VPN, CCA, Anomaly Guard and Detector, and Zone-Based Firewall.
